The Who? What? Where? When?
(and possibly the Why?) of
Mike Meade

I was born both male ( a disappointment to my mother) and human (a relief to my father) in an ancient and primitive land.  the year was 1950 and the place was the most remote capital city on planet Earth.....
Perth, Western Australia. Perth skyline
This fairly conventional surburban family (albeit loving, musical and possessing a sense of humour)
from English and Irish stock, had fled India moments before it's being returned (begrudgingly) to
its rightful owners.  Hence life seemed predestined, and then came The Beatles.

Suddenly, unconventional alternatives seemed possible.
Curiosity, creativity and the unexpected were from then on my partners in life.

Over the years the edges between my private and professional lives were often blurred,
but so far I have worked professionally as a  Scriptwriter, Songwriter, Cameraman, Floormanager,
Actor, Photographer, Artist, TV  Compere, Producer and Director
and surprisingly
(for myself and the cows ) as a mid-wife to a herd of pregnant heifers.

In the course of these professions, I have hosted over fifteen hundred national television shows,
written about fifty hours of television content, written and performed dozens of songs
aired nationally and participated as both observer and active helper in the birth of some thirty,
very surprised calves.

As a result of  compering I have met and/or interviewed a variety of people.
Musicians from Johnny O'Keefe Johnny O'Keefe   to Chuck Berryduck walking Berry
Actors from Charlton Heston just call me Chuck to Paul Hogan Crocodile Dundee

Politicians from  Gough Whitlam the great Gough Whitlam   to Jo Bjelke Peterson Bjelke

as well as astrologers, authors, wizards, hypnotists, Tibetan monks, environmentalists, psychologists,
elite world athletes, spiritual leaders, eventually a Beatle and a variety of farm animals.

I have managed to travel extensively through Australia (including Arneham Land and Monkey Mia),
Europe, New Zealand and Asia. My travels of late however, have been almost exclusively to my
spiritual home of India (where, not surprisingly, the cow is considered sacred).

The rich tapestry of my life has exposed me to a wide variety of extraordinary experiences,
from the cosmic (experiencing the oneness of all life whilst in the bliss of deep meditation)
to the secular (experiencing the numbness of near death whilst crashing a hang-glider). descending? glider

I am also a qualified hypnotherapist and have studied and practised Reflexology, Reiki, Tai-Chi,
Firewalking, Massage, Transcendental Meditation and milking cows.

I am also the father of two smallish human persons, each of the opposite sex (to each other). I have lived through the sixties (which, being from Perth, I was obliged to do in the seventies) and have gone on to survive my own midlife crisis, emerging with the vitality and enthusiasm of a person half my age (that is, a person half my age who has vitality and enthusiasm, of course).  As  a result, I am a well rounded, balanced and wise person , able (with a couple of personal exceptions best left unsaid) to communicate efficiently and with empathy, with a diverse range of people of all ages, social and cultural backgrounds. My love of animals is without exception.

So that's the who, what, when, where and possibly the why of me. But why should you care, i hear you ask. Well apart from the fact that we should all care for one another, there is always the greed factor.  Just think how my extraordinary communication skills or experience, in any of the areas mentioned (and my humility) might enrich you. Better still, think how it might enrich your bank account (and hopefully mine).

I'm out here now in the cosmos, like Enlightenment and the Internet
Just make the first move to plug me in and your career or business...
in fact, your life, may never be the same.
